The challenge

Newly rebranded carpet company, Calderdale, needed a digital strategy and website at speed. After a rebranding exercise that had gone well, Laura and the team had been left with a new website that was not only very overdue but not technically fit for purpose.

Calderdale called on true9 to help create and launch a technically complex website at speed that would match their new strong and confident brand.

How we worked

Each project we begin starts with a conversation. During an accelerated scoping project sprint with urgent meetings on-site with the Calderdale team, we outlined a clear vision for the company's digital future.

The business needed a website that not only looked good and reflected their size, but that also reinforced their ethos.

Calderdale’s core audience includes architects and designers who needed to be able to view and download the company’s vast catalogue of unique designs with ease.

It was equally important, then, from an internal point of view, that the designs on the site could be updated regularly with ease. This meant that the website we built needed to be technically robust and perform well.

During our scoping project, we created a high-fidelity prototype of the website we planned to hand-craft for Calderdale.

Then we brought in copywriters and photographers and managed the whole project from the start, through to the site’s launch.

The Calderdale team is busy working within the business and so wanted a site without a content management system but with the support of a club9 support package for the regular updates that are needed.

We update the site a lot, so, knowing that you can just send an email over and it gets done, saves everybody’s time. Chris is also good at coming back with emails to ask what’s needed that month, so it works both ways, and it forces you to stay on top of the site.”
