How to develop a stunning website and transform how a business does business.
Newly rebranded carpet company, Calderdale, needed a digital strategy and website at speed. After a rebranding exercise that had gone well, Laura and the team had been left with a new website that was not only very overdue but not technically fit for purpose.
Calderdale called on true9 to help create and launch a technically complex website at speed that would match their new strong and confident brand.
“The branding project ending up as it did worked in our favour, because it meant that we found true9.”
How we worked
Each project we begin starts with a conversation. During an accelerated scoping project sprint with urgent meetings on-site with the Calderdale team, we outlined a clear vision for the company's digital future.
The business needed a website that not only looked good and reflected their size, but that also reinforced their ethos.
Calderdale’s core audience includes architects and designers who needed to be able to view and download the company’s vast catalogue of unique designs with ease.
It was equally important, then, from an internal point of view, that the designs on the site could be updated regularly with ease. This meant that the website we built needed to be technically robust and perform well.
“Chris came in for a meeting and just made sense of things. I gave him an idea of where we were at and what I wanted the site to look like, and true9 led the project from that perspective. From start to finish, we had no problems.”
During our scoping project, we created a high-fidelity prototype of the website we planned to hand-craft for Calderdale.
"Chris presented the website wireframes in a way that was easy for anyone to understand. He gave clear explanations of 'it will be like this, it will look like this, it will do this, and you'll be able to do this'. Our directors could see exactly how their investment would be warranted."
Then we brought in copywriters and photographers and managed the whole project from the start, through to the site’s launch.
The Calderdale team is busy working within the business and so wanted a site without a content management system but with the support of a club9 support package for the regular updates that are needed.
“One of the things that’s a massive help to Calderdale is the monthly club9 support package. We update the site a lot, so, knowing that you can just send an email over and it gets done, saves everybody’s time. Chris is also good at coming back with emails to ask what’s needed that month, so it works both ways, and it forces you to stay on top of the site.”
Since the Calderdale site went live, we’ve supported the team and prepared and uploaded all their new designs with monthly updates through their club9 support package.
Our project with Calderdale provided:
- Website Creation
- Regular club9 Support
“Our developers have ensured that the Calderdale site is technically brilliant – and looks the part. We’re delighted that the feedback from their clients has been amazing as a result.”
